News account from New York City: "In the grip of a blizzard, the worst since the famous one of 1888, New York City is almost isolated from the rest of the world. The third and worst storm of the year was still pouring its tons of snow on an already partly buried city late this afternoon [March 2]... The wind, which blew eighty-four miles an hour [in gusts] last night, fell to forty-nine miles [in gusts] this morning."
