A total of 1.0" snow fell at Houston Intercontinental Airport. The December 4, 2009 snowfall is the earliest on record in Houston. The previous record was set on December 10, 1944 and tied on December 10, 2008. The December 4, 2009 snowfall marked the first time snow has accumulated in Houston in consecutive years.
