An intense snow squall at Saranac Lake, New York
After an intense snow squall at Saranac Lake, New York. The arrival of unseasonably cold air produced snow squalls during the afternoon and early evening. At 6:51 pm EDT, the National Weather Service reported heavy snow (1/4-mile visibility) with a temperature of 33 degrees fahrenheit at Saranac Lake. That snow squall whitened the ground
