An intense snow squall at Saranac Lake, New York. The arrival of unseasonably cold air produced snow squalls during the afternoon and early evening. At 6:51 pm EDT, the National Weather Service reported heavy snow (1/4-mile visibility) with a temperature of 33 degrees fahrenheit at Saranac Lake. That snow squall whitened the ground.
