Momence, Illinois. A synoptic storm followed by lake effect snow brought heavy snow to a portion of the Great Lakes Region. Other areas saw lighter amounts. Snowfall amounts included: Cedar Lake, IN: 12.3"; Chicago: 1.7"; Detroit: 2.2"; Momence, IL: 12.0"; Toledo: 1.9"; and, Toronto: 3.9"
