News account: "Near-zero weather [near zero temperatures] accompanied the blizzards in some zones [in the Midwest]... Snow continued to fall heavily in Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, the Dakotas, and Minnesota and Wisconsin [on November 12] and many roads were made impassable by drifts."
